In Gustav Landauer Fanboy Text, the artist-writer Jan Erbelding (that's me) explores the life and work of Gustav Landauer and the very few visible remains of the Munich Soviet Republic in a very personal and poetic way.

Gustav Landauer was a German anarchist, revolutionary, and philosopher. He is known for his role in the Munich Soviet Republic of 1919 and his advocacy for nonviolent social change. Landauer also explored what was later called "Mystical Anarchism," arguing that true community or anarchism is not achieved through enforced collectivism but through a conscious separation from societal norms and ego-driven behavior. He believed that individuals must first detach from their isolated, individualistic existence and experience a universal interconnectedness to form a genuine, meaningful community.
